The Virtual Washington ARTCC is pleased to announce the return of Capital Christmas in 2016 featuring the Washington National Airport on Saturday, December 17. Capital Christmas represents our single largest KDCA event of the year and offers the opportunity to fly into the airport closest to the nation's capital. This comes with the challenge of close quarters for both aircraft in the air and on the ground as you navigate through the unique and cramped airspace of the Potomac Consolidated TRACON. We here at vZDC look forward to this event every year and we hope you do too. We'll see you there!

Capital Christmas is tonight! Join us for some jam packed fun at the closest airport to the nation's capital! Hope to see everyone there.

The weather tonight is looking rather freightful. Hopefully your cockpit lights are delightful. Since we've got no place to go -- Might as well see it freeze at KDCA!
Due to the inclement weather and airport limitations we advise pilots to bring at least an extra hour of holding fuel tonight.
