Position Posting: ZME seeks new Webmaster (WM)

ZME is looking for a motivated individual who is able to take on the challenges of becoming a member of our staff in the position of Webmaster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Air Traffic Manager and Deputy Air Traffic Manager.
  • Manages and oversees the ARTCC data services, including web content and delivery, web services, data storage systems, etc.
  • Responds quickly to website and data system needs.
  • Maintains a high online presence and community presence.
  • Completes other related requests as assigned by the ATM and DATM.

Requirements:

  • Be a member of ZME, or willing to accept transfer to ZME (if selected).
  • Must be proficient with modern web programming languages and techniques, including PHP, Laravel, Plesk, JavaScript, etc.
  • Have not had any disciplinary record with VATSIM, VATUSA or ZME within one year from the application.
  • Must be able to work in a “team environment”.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Currently holds a rating of S3 or higher. *S2 with webmaster of technical real world experience will be considered.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous VATUSA Webteam or personal web project experience.
  • Experience managing a small group of people.
  • Have held staff position at other ARTCC’s.
